There are a few strategies which will help to even the playing field if you're new to the
Racing game at Points2Shop. You can win points by placing a wager of 10, 25, or 50 points and competing against another player, or you can play for free to develop your racing skills. The Racing game has been around for awhile so you'll need to consider some important advice before squaring off with a veteran.
- Stay away from the walls
- Concentrate on the innermost part of the track when you're first learning, just try to stay away from the walls at all times.
- Hitting a wall slows you down a lot. It's better to twist and turn like a drunken fool to adjust the car than it is to hit the wall.
- Cut corners tight when you are comfortable with racing
- As your not-hitting-the-wall skills improve, try to cut the corners tighter.
- Bumping up against the walls on a turn (so your side door brushes the wall) does not slow you down much.
- The best known score under 1000 by Blitzz786 - the kind of score which can only be achieved by cutting every corner perfectly.
- Use a laptop or gaming keyboard
- If you have a laptop, you may be able to race better due to the shorter keys. The controls are touchy and standard desktop keyboards aren't as responsive.
- Play the free Racing tournament for practice
- Play the free tournament a lot if you want to be good at the game.
- To compete with the best players, you will need to be able to score consistently under 1050.
General gaming advice
- Use the shoutbox to find opponents
- When you play, your score is either matched up against another game or it is saved until someone else starts playing in the same tournament and skill level.
- Use the shoutbox to ask people to race you, but be sure to tell them what your wager and skill level is so they can be paired with you.
- Do not ask more than twice or you may be temporarily banned for spamming the shoutbox (you will be warned first).
- Don't close the web browser while racing
- If you close the browser or click the Back button after placing your wager, your points will be forfeited and lost.
- If you complete the race, there's a chance that you might win, so just play it through.
- Don't whine when you lose
- There are a few very experienced racers and the "experience level" feature does not seem to work so as to put them at a higher competition level.
- If you lose continually, play the free tournament for awhile.
- No, the guy that just defeated you 10 times is not cheating.
- Other tips
- Do not play the Racing game on Cashle, it will not work.
- Don't try to cheat, Points2Shop can terminate your account for cheating.
- You may find better strategies on your own than by reading this guide, feel free to experiment!
Have fun, and good luck... be sure to practice a lot before wagering your hard-earned points!
